The air separator is for the separation of light and heavy material with a particle size of approx. 50 - 700 mm. The material to be separated is fed speeded-up on a conveyor belt to a separating roller. Here the separation of the heavy and light material is performed. Heavy material falls downwards at the roller, light material is blown over the separating roller in a sedimentation chamber where it settles down and then fed out on the conveyor.
Separation of the light and heavy fractions is achieved by a specific and quantity-adjustable air flow within the fall range, shortly after leaving the conveyor.
